My photography course at NMIT started last week. I just found out today that the NMIT building I have my course in used to be a infectious diseases hospital. You can sorta tell because the classrooms and hallways look sorta like wards.
The horticulture part of the campus used to be where they did animal testing on sheeps goats and pigs and stuff....how nice :( and the photography building is where they kept the people with the iron lungs.

Apart from that disturbing information....the course is quite fun.
I got some Kodak Tri X 400 film today to start on my portrait assignment...whoo.
The only thing I don't like about it is we have to sit most of the time in one of the studios where it can be very uncomfy on the hard chairs and floors.

I have a question too...
Does anyone know where I can purchase a cheap light meter from?

Today, I got my navel pierced. As I turn 18 on Saturday, my folks said they'd pay to have it done for me.
The lady who pierced me was really nice. I was a bit sissy so I had my mum there with me holding my hand :P
It hurt for about 5 seconds when she pierced me....now it doesn't hurt at all. I've got a bluey greeny bar on my button now....yay!

18 next Saturday!
Joes garage on Friday....drink up on Saturday.

I'm am not longer a blonde anymore. I dyed my hair cherry red a few weeks ago...and I love it, even though its a bitch to maintain.

Oh, and sorry for the lack of art. Been busy with lots of stuff so I haven't really had a chance. I'll be sure to add some more stuff as soon as I can ;)

whoo!

Enter scores came out for everyone in Australia this week (think it was everyone?) and mine sucked so....

I went to NMIT - Northern Melbourne Institute of Tafe - and enroled and payed my $5000 fee for Vocational Photography.
The process was easy and the people there were really nice.

YAY FOR ME!

I'm up for a 3 day week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) 9am-4:30pm.
So, finding a part time job to keep me amused and make a bit of money with the rest of the week doesn't seem that bad.

oh yeh......my mum hates Christmas.

Boredish, so I thought I would update this thingie....well update isn't the right word since this is the first time writing in it.

It was my last year of school and I am soo glad it's over. Finished my final exams a few months ago. Probably wasn't as prepared as I should have been, but I think...I hope i did alright.
Want to get into a visual arts course next year....but as they hard to get into, i'm not getting my hopes up. If I don't have the enter score i need or I don't get accepted, I'll work for a year and apply the year after. Simple as that.

I turn 18 next Jan. on the 20th. Wheee, I'll be legal cha cha cha!

I suppose i've bored most of you already and you've stopped reading, but if you haven't....I have a question for all of you who practice divination....which I think would be not a lot of you:

--> I've been searching for a new tarot deck. I have come across the Revelation Tarot deck and the Renaissance Tarot deck which both look visually appealing to me. I know The Raider White tarot deck is probably the most popular out there, but it does not appeal to me at all. I want something that it colourful, striking and easy to handle.
If any of you know of a good deck, please let me know.
